Hello from Westonfence,

2024 has been a challenging year for agriculture – droughts in the south and above-average conditions in the north, a real mixed bag. As we head into the summer break, it’s a great chance to spend time with family, recharge, and look ahead to making 2025 a success.

This year the team travelled across the country and overseas, attending 12 major field days and presenting 19 on-farm workshops from South Australia to Queensland – plus a trip to Kenya to meet farmers and contractors as we take our products to an international audience.

Westonfence in Africa

In October 2024, Westonfence was invited to Kenya to showcase our products, running two workshops for stakeholders in dryland cropping, livestock production, conservation and fencing supply. Ausquest Kenya installed Westonfence on their farm at Athi River seven years ago, with great results and exposure. One workshop was held at Ol Pejeta Conservancy — 90,000 acres of African savannah — where Westonfence now forms part of the infrastructure helping manage and protect wildlife. The trip led to a 40-foot container of product being shipped from our Parkes factory in December.

Product Highlight: D10X

We’ve added an extra 50mm to the bottom of our D10 dropper to keep the bottom wire higher – a small tweak that’s proven popular as a go-to multi-species exclusion fence, especially with the current surge in pig populations. As one client put it: “First time in 30 years this country is being harvested. Ferals always did it for us. D10X fence is a game changer!”

JVA & Strainrite

Our partnership with JVA and Strainrite continues to grow into 2025, bringing high-quality Australian-made energisers and NZ-made accessories to your local rural store — all designed for near-zero-maintenance performance in Australian conditions.

Christmas Closure

The factory will be closed from 20 December to 13 January. If you need materials during this time, call Duncan on 0497 850 400 and we’ll be happy to help.

When we return in 2025, Westonfence celebrates its 25th year in business – stay tuned for exciting updates!
